Feasibility study & simulation. We create a pilot study

based on the simulation of the forming process. Within the
scope of the simulation, we optimize the feasibility and
process capability in close cooperation with you.

Method planning. We determine the optimum production

concept based on the simulation results. As such, you
can rest assured that the die not only fulfills all technical
requirements in subsequent series production, but also
works reliably.

Construction. Our engineers have had vast experience

over the years in die construction as well as in hot and
cold forging. Producing workpieces with the maximum degree of quality
your success is in safe hands.

Technology & innovation. In order to fulfill current and

future challenges in die engineering, Schuler continues to
develop existing forming processes. Furthermore, innovative
solutions to increase quality and process reliability are

THE DECISIVE STEP AHEAD.

Regardless of whether a prototype or a series die is

required with dies from Schuler you can produce all
workpieces to an outstanding quality.

Cold forming. When manufacturing outer skin and structure

parts from aluminum or steel, precision is essential in
order to be able to produce high-quality workpieces. This
is where we come into our own, thanks to our wealth of
experience and perfectly tailored processes. In particular,
when it comes to implementing demanding design specifi-
cations for shell parts, these expertise are of paramount
importance.

HOT STAMPING DIES FROM SCHULER.
FROM PROTOTYPE TO SERIAL PRODUCTION DIE.

Hot stamping. Use of press hardened parts makes

automobiles safer yet lighter. However, manufacturing
such parts is a sensitive process which Schuler thoroughly
controls. Through working in close cooperation with press
construction and automation, Schuler boasts a diverse range
of expertise in this field. Indeed, we are able to guarantee
process reliability even for a demanding process such as
hot stamping.

Prototype dies the first step towards serial production.

Using a prototype die, we test the optimum conditions to
manufacture your workpiece. What is more, there is also
the option to manufacture low volumes in a reproducible
manner. In a tryout cell, equipped with a servo transfer, the
workpiece quality can be assured using various sensors
and a thermal camera. In addition, a laboratory is readily
available for mechanical-technical examinations of the
workpiece. Tryout cell to test out the prototype dies at the Gppingen site.

Quality in series. When it comes to manufacturing serial

dies, we implement innovative solutions. In terms of
Engineering, we simulate microstructure, tensile strength
and temperature distribution for optimum results. The
improved cooling system offers reliability and process
stability.

Short distances for increased efficiency. Thanks to the

proximity to the press construction and the Hot Stamping
TechCenter at the Gppingen site, dies can be incorporated
close to series production. Furthermore, there is also the
option for direct on-site start-up.
