CREATION OF WIRE MESH CHARTS WITH PLAN AND ELEVATION VIEWS

1. Install Wire Mesh Square Grid as a User-Defined chart per instructions.

2. Select the data set for presentation.

3. Click Chart Wizard, then Custom/User-Defined/Wire Mesh Square Grid. The standard
MS Excel wire mesh may also be used, but it will include shading that may be
objectionable.

4. Finish chart as desired, including labels for axes, data series, etc.

5. The chart will appear in a 3D position that may be changed by selecting the chart and
then clicking CHART/3D-VIEW followed by adjustments in the rotation and elevation
angles. A plan view is obtained at 0 elevation angle, while elevation views are obtained
at 90 elevation angle and the respective rotation angles of 90, 180, 270, and 360
degrees.

6. Adjustments my also be made in the perspective. The above chart template is set for
zero perspective.

Several examples of the use of this type of chart are given throughout the examples for
Appendix D, including those supplied with this software package.
