Sohail the Painter

Sohail, today we had paint ready for you and your peers to explore. You took a paint brush
and started brushing it all over your paper. You had so much fun doing this that you wanted
to paint your hand too. While you were doing this, you had a big smile on your face and
started to giggle. The paint brushes must have been tickling you! It was really nice to see you
have so much fun while learning, Sohail.

Sohail, you are drawn to sensory experiences. You thoroughly enjoy sand, water,play dough
and painting and today we watched you as you become an artist. You practised over and over
again the motions of a painter. You admired the brush strokes that were left on your canvas
and most importantly, you experienced the joy that comes of creating. Sohail, while you were
busy painting expressing your creativity, you were also developing your hand and eye
coordination.

Sohail, we will continue to offer you a variety of sensory experiences. Perhaps next time we
paint, we can use primary colours and make different pairing so we can make new colour
discoveries.
