Method Of Work Trial Section

1. Installation of Trafic Signs at trial of widening work

location.
2. Cutting the asphalt existing (50 cm from the edge) by
using asphalt cutter to prevent damage in adjoining
asphalt when excavation by using excavators begins
(as separator).
3. Excavation of shoulder by using Excavator, depth 60
cm and width 350 380 cm.
4. Excavated materials hauled and disposed by using
dump truck to disposal area ( material from the result
of excavation that can still be used will be reused).
5. Preparation and compaction on the sub grade of
excavation area by using Vibratory Roller (8 10 x
passing), compacting process will be implemented in
Optimum Water Content.
6. Sand Cone Test at the sub grade to find out the value
of the density.
7. Hauling Selected Granular or Rock Material from
Quarry going to project location by Dump Truck.
8. Installation of Geotextile below the Selected Granular
or Geogrid below the Rock Material.
9. Dump the Selected Granular or Rock Material from the
Dump Truck at Widening Area.
10. Spreading the Selected Granular or Rock Material by
using Motor Grader (cross fall 5 %).Thickness 30 cm.
11. Compacting Selected Granular or Rock Material by
Vibratory Roller (8 10 x passing).
12. Sand Cone /CBR Test at Selected Granular or Rock
Material to find out the value of the density.
13. Installation of geogrid on GSE.
14. Dump the Selected Granular or Rock Material from
the Dump Truck at Widening Area.
15. Spreading the Selected Granular or Rock Material by
using Motor Grader (cross fall 5 %).Thickness 30 cm.
16. Compacting Selected Granular or Rock Material by
Vibratory Roller (8 10 x passing).Thickness 24 cm.
17. Sand Cone /CBR Test at Selected Granular or Rock
Material to find out the value of the density.
