Dear Parents/Guardians:

The Sacred Heart Academy Band is one of the prides of the Academy since its existence. The Board of Directors is
one on its desire to continue upholding its objective to promote the development of musically incline students through the
existence of the band as well as in promoting the cultural heritage of our nation for the brass band is a symbol of Filipino
tradition.

However, it is also the concern of the management to support all the endeavors of the students not only in Music but in
all aspects of development such as sports, literary skills, other forms of art and of course the academics. Much as the Board
would like to support all projects and programs for all these concerns, it is common knowledge that its quite difficult to do it
policies and procedures not to deprive but to give attention to all priorities in the improvement of the academys performance.

The SHA Band will now be following the new guidelines as part of this decision.

1. SHA Band will be composed of 45 regular members. The 45 regular members will have to pass the audition set by the
trainer and adviser of the band.

2. All those who did not make it to the top 45 will still remain as members but will be classified as trainees.

3. All band members must attend their regular Arts, PE, and Health classes (i.e. taking Written Works, Performance
Tasks and Quarterly Assessments).

4. Membership in the organization will be terminated if and only if he/she committed any of the following:
a. If he/she failed to attend half of the total number of meetings in a grading period;
b. If he/she has three (3) or more failing grades in a grading period;
c. If he/she violated the rules and regulations of the SHA Band organization five (5) consecutive order within the
current school year; and,
d. If he/she committed any offense in the SHA Student Handbook which resulted to his/her suspension within the
current school year.

5. Terminated members shall take regular Music classes the following grading period and shall be deprived of renewing
his/her membership in the organization within the current school year.

6. Scholarships will still be granted to the 45 regular members based on the grades they receive from the adviser and
trainer and the amount set by the Board of Directors of Sacred Heart Academy of Sta. Maria (Bulacan), Inc.

a. Top 15 will get 75% discount


b. The next 15 (16-30) will get 50% discount
c. The next 15 (31-45) will get 25% discount

7. All other policies and regulation which are not contrary to the new set of policies will remain as based on the plans and
programs of the SHA Band for the current school year.

We hope you understand the decision of the management that this is for the benefit of all those who are concerned.
