Lennard-Jones Model
The 1/r6 term in the LJ potential has the same form as that
found from theoretical calculations of the Drude model for
the dispersive interactions.

Limitations
With MD, 1015 atom-steps on large supercomputer
possible, (1011 atom-steps usual) depending on terms in
force fields, approximations, tricks used, etc.
For many problems, less computationally intensive
models are needed in order to study larger systems.
Explicit atom and united atom force fields are used to model
particular systems, and to predict properties with
quantitative accuracy.
