EVENT DESCRIPTION

Onapattu is a group song event, where a team comprising (Min 5, Max 15) members
perform a choral singing of songs relating to the theme Onam.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Count of participants(including instrumentalists) ( Min - 5 , Max - 15)

Time allotted for the performance is 6+2 minutes (On stage to off stage).
Max of 2 teams from each Church.
At the end of 6th minute a warning bell will be rung and the end of 8th minute final bell
will be rung.
Only Onam songs are allowed and the lyrics must focus on subjects related to the theme
- Onam. And the language must be Malayalam. Medleys are allowed.
No microphones will be provided.
Only non electronic instruments can be used for performance.
Instruments should be brought and taken care by the respective participating team.
The list of names in the registration form should be certified by the Vicar of the
respective church.
Change in slot position if required due to unavoidable circumstances should be
informed at the slot picking time.
If at all a complaint is to be lodged, it should be lodged in writing with the attestation
/ confirmation by the Parish Priest within ten minutes after the completion of the
concerned or team performance. A nominal fee of Rs.250.00 (non-refundable) per
complaint will be charged.
Decision of the judges/organizing committee will be final in the dispute settlement.
Names of the participants should be confirmed and the duly filled forms should be
submitted a week prior to the start of the events. Post which no changes in the forms
will be entertained.

Note: No extra time will be allocated for the performance.
