4 Upgrade Procedure
All of products have to be upgraded to Bootstrap5.2 for further deployment. Please following
the steps below to upgrade, otherwise it may be damaged.
4.1 Preparation
Determine the version of the device. If the REAP versions are 1.1 or above(1.2.206 for
2900 series excluded), please upgrade REAP and Bootstrap firmware following the
procedure of "4.2 Normal upgrade operations", else upgrade REAP and Bootstrap
firmware following the procedure of "4.3 Upgrade operations from REAP1.2.4 to
REAP1.2.X for 2900 Series" or "4.4 Upgrade operations from REAP1.0 to REAP1.1".
An FTP server will need to be provisioned on the applicable IP subnet so that the device
to be upgraded can access it.
Save the following firmware files to the root folder on the FTP server, The 2900 for
example:
ISCOM2900G-1_Bootstrap1_5.2.1_20131213
ISCOM2900G-1_Bootstrap2_5.2.1_20131213

6 Feature Evolution
loaded.
Fast blinking: every 60ms. The configuration file is being loaded or Auto-Provisioning
fails.
The link aggregation interface is added to the RMON statistics MIB.
The service MIB is modified to rank in descending order of character string.
The rate limit based on dual Tag is modified.
Y.1564 supports configuring CoS remark test on the NNI interface.(For RAX700 Series
only)
Y.1564 supports the RFC2544 test, and Y.1564 test in ring networking environment and
dual-homing environment. It supports configuring the oscillating flow to pass the UNI
interface.(For RAX700 Series only)
The problem is solved that the Y.1564 test fails after link protection protocol is
configured.(For RAX700 only)
Device management is influenced when the follow-up action of LBD detection is set to
discarding.
Solved Issue ESW00003888: EFM - Link fault does not work on interface port 25-28 in
ISCOM2924GF-4GE.
Solved Issue ESW00005516: FLOWCONTROL Flow control does not work on
interfaces 25-28 in ISCOM2924GF-4GE.
After port security MAC module violates, if the number of source discarded MAC
addresses exceeds 200, they cannot be aged.
Solved Issue ESW00005524: Link-State-Trace Channel groups could not be
configured as a Link-State-Trace downstream.
In Y.1564, statistics on packets, whose size is greater than 1518 bytes, is invalid. (For
RAX700 Series only)
Changing of the port mode will cause OAM connection to be lost after creating 4k
VLAN.
The link state tracking will cause the port flapping.
Failed to load the configuration of EFM send cycle.
The show running information will incorrect after closing the MAC address learning
function.
The private Ethernet ring protocol cant be close. (For 2900 Series only)
