    2017 cast iron pipes&fittings market is tight: Government departments environmental


    scrutiny in Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi and other places of foundry and related accessories
    factories have been affected in varying degress. Casting market demand remains strong,
    costs and materials price rise, all will lead to cast iron pipes&fittings price continued to rise
    3%-5%. I think it can use three words to describe the second half year of cast iron
    pipes&fittings market, Stop, Rise, Tight following one by one to answer them.

    Stop-strict supervision of environmental protection led to foundry stop production

    July 2017, after new Environment Minister Li ganjie taking office, he immediately put the
    environmental protection supervision new ideas of "five steps" to enhance environmental
    law enforcement, substandard enterprises to carry out rectification, canceling business
    qualification of small enterprises with heavily pollution. The impact on the casting industry is
    giant and many small foundries will no longer exist. What is more, since July environmental
    supervision will not stop until the end of the year! Because in August,September major
    conferences held, after October into the heating period, limited productionss&shut down
    will become inevitable. Environmental rectification, enterprises invest millions of money to
    buy dust removal equipment, the cost rises large. We hope all buyers &friends
    understanding, price increasing is really forced!

    Rise -raw materials and cast iron pipes&fittings price keep rising trend

    High pressure of environmental protection storm led to further compression capacity, a new
    wave of price increases has quietly opened. Recently cast iron and ductile iron prices
    continued to rise 2% -5%, mainly due to soaring prices of raw materials and low inventory or
    negative inventory. Coke rose 3%, carton rose 20%, pig iron price trends to rise back to 3000
    RMB/ton. Large demand for scrap price rising is inevitable, chemical plants, mine production
    is also affected, electrodes, coal, epoxy resin ,silica sand and other casting materials prices
    are rising too.
    Tight- raw materials and cast iron pipes&fittings shortage tight trend
    Foreign raw materials manufacturers striked, Chinese Government closed a large number of
    small &medium materials factories and foundries. It is proved that one-third of cast iron
    industry has stopped production,the remain enterprises productivity decreased due to hot
    weather and the continuous rectification of the workshop. At present,many factories have
    already begun to arrange new orders in October, August and September orders are full. In
    accordance with the environmental requirements last year, some unqualified enterprises will
    be limited from November 15 to next March 15, qualified enterprises to choose peak cut-off.
    Next year Chinese Spring Festival factory is expected from February 1 to March 1,
    reproduction and delivery is estimated at the end of March or early April, so the current cast
    iron pipes&fittings production is quiet serious and tight.
