1.CONDITIONSofENTRY
ThetournamentisopentoallBISACmemberschoolamateurgolfers.Agewillbedetermined
onthedayofthetournament.Ifthestudentis10onthisdayhe/shewillplayinFlightD.
TeamcompetitionwilluseGrossscores.
Competitionwillbeconductedinthefollowingagegroups.

BoysandGirlswillplay18holestrokeplay.
Fortheteamcompetitioneachschoolshallnominateupto12players,boysorgirls.Thetotalof
thefourlowestgrossscoresshallconstitutetheteamsscore,butthiscombinedtotalmust
includeatleastoneboyandatleastonegirlsscoreandthefourscoresmustcomefrommore
thanoneagecategory.
2. RuleBook:
RulesofGolfandRulesofAmateurStatus20122015
ThecompetitionshallbeinaccordancewiththeRulesofGolfasapprovedbyR&ARules.
3 LocalRules
ThecompetitionshallbeinaccordancewiththehostclubsLocalRules.
ARuleofGolfmustnotbewaivedbyaLocalRule.However,ifthecommitteeconsidersthat
localabnormalconditionsinterferewiththeproperplayingofthegametotheextentthatitis
necessarytomakeaLocalRulethatmodifiestheRulesofGolftheLocalRulemustbe
authorisedbytheR&Aadd
examplesofLocalRulesthatmaybeaddedforthecompetitioncanbefoundinSection2.
3.1CADDIE
Only the host clubs caddies are allowed in thistournament. Theplayerislimitedtoonly
onecaddieatanyonetime.
3.2GOLFCARTS
The use of golf carts by the competitors is not permitted unless deemed necessary by
the committee in authorizing its use for example to help speed up play by returning a
playertoreplayhisball.
3.3SCORES
Ascorecardisconsideredofficiallyreturnedwhentheplayerhasleftthescoringarea.
3.4COACHESandADVICE
TheofficialTeamCaptainofeachschoolistheonlypersonpermittedtogiveadviceto
theirplayersduringtheround.
3.5HANDPHONES
 HandphonesoranyothercommunicationdevicesarestrictlyNOTpermittedonthe
course.Ifused,theyshallbeconfiscated.
3.6TRANSPORTATION
Playersmustwalkatalltimesduringastipulatedround.
3.7PENALTYFORBREACHOFCONDITION:
Twostrokesforeachholeatwhichanybreachoccurredmaximumpenaltyperroundis
Fourstrokes.Intheeventofabreachbetweenplayoftwoholes,thepenaltyappliesto
thenexthole.Useofanyunauthorizedformoftransportationmustbediscontinued
immediatelyupondiscoverythatabreachhasoccurred.Otherwise,theplayeris
disqualified.Exception:onlywhenpermittedtoridebytheOrganizingCommittee.
3.8EQUIPMENT
Theplayersclubs(Rule4)andball(Rule5)mustconformwiththeprovisions,
specificationsandinterpretationssetoutbytheR&A.www.randa.orgPENALTYFOR
BREACHOFCONDITION:Disqualification.
3.9RANGEFINDERSareallowed,butnotwithanyslopeanalysisfunction.
4TIEBREAKINGPROCEDURE
4.1Team
Intheeventofatieforfirstplacebetweentwoteamsormore,aplayoffstroke
playwillbeheldatholeno.18untilthewinnerisdeterminedbetweenone
nominatedplayeroneachside.
Intheeventofthetyingteamsforsecondandthirdplaces,thebestscoreofthe
three(3)aggregatebestscoresofthe18holes(118)ofthefinalroundwill
decidethewinner.
Ifthetyingteamshavethesamescoreforthe18holesandthereisnomore
daylighttodecidethewinnerasstatedinpoint1,thebestscoreofthelastnine
holes(1018),lastsixholes(1318),lastthreeholes(1618)andfinally19thhole,
throughthe1stholeofthefinalroundoftheteamsscorewilldecidethewinner.
4.2Individual
Intheeventofatieforfirstplacebetweentwoplayersormoretherewillbea
cardcountbackontheback9holes(asstipulatedonthescorecard),back6,
back3andfinalhole.
5OFFICIALS
5.1Allgameswillbescoredandofficiatedbytheplayersthemselves.
5.2Shouldadisagreementoccur,aplayermayaskforaneutralofficialtoassistwiththe
problem.
5.3Coachesneedtobeproactiveinmonitoringthecallsmadebytheirownplayersand
theopposition,ifthereareanyissuesthecoachesaretocontactthetournament
organisertopossiblyassignaneutralreferee

7 CONDUCT
7.1Thecommitteemaydisqualifyaplayerforimproperbehaviororconduct,suchasthe
useofundesirablelanguage(abusivelanguage)andanypublicdisplayofangerwhilein
thetournamentareaorwithinthestipulatedround,therulesofficialmaygivepenalty:

2ndtimeTwoStrokespenalty
3rdtimeDisqualification
7.2Parents,coaches,teammanagerandsupportersareallowedonthecourseprovided
theyremainstrictlyonthebuggypathifthegolfcourseallows.(somecourseswillcharge
afeehoweverforthis)Theyarenotallowedtoadviseparticipantsduringtheplay
(exceptwiththeofficialTeamCaptain).Aspectatorwhodisregardsthisrulemaycause
thecompetitortobedisqualifiedfromthetournament,especiallyifthepersonhas
alreadybeenwarnedbythetournamentofficials.
7.3Protest
Disputesorprotestsmustbemadetothetournamentcommitteeassoonaspossible
andpriortosigningthecardattheendoftheround.Thetournamentcommittee's
decisionshallbefinal.
8SUSPENSIONOFPLAY
8.1InclementWeather
Incaseofinclementweather,thetournamentcommitteesdecisionwillbefinal.
Proceduresforthepossibilityoflightningaretobeclearlystipulatedinthecompetition
regulationssentouttocompetitorspriortothetournamentandclearlydisplayedonthe
competitorsnoticeboardonthedayofthecompetition.Ifduringplayitbecomes
necessarytosuspendplayforadangeroussituation(e.g.lightning),playersmust
discontinueplayimmediately.Asuspensionforadangeroussituationwillbesignaledby
aprolongednoteoftheklaxon/sirenorwhistle.Onbeingadvisedofsuspension,
competitorsmustnotplayanyfurthershotsuntilthecommitteehasordereda
resumptionofplay.Ballismarkedandplayersleavethecourse.
8.2DangerousSituation
Ifduringplayitbecomesnecessarytosuspendplayforadangeroussituation(e.g.
lightning),playersmustdiscontinueplayimmediately.Asuspensionforadangerous
situationwillbesignaledbyaprolongednoteoftheklaxon/sirenorwhistle.Ballis
markedandplayersleavethecourse.
9RESUMPTIONOFPLAY
9.1Assoonasconditionsallowplaytoberesumed,twoshortblastsonthe
klaxon/siren/whistlewillbesoundedorNotificationwillotherwisebecommunicatedto
theplayers.Onbeingadvisedoftheresumption,playwillberecommencedimmediately
byallcompetitorsonthecourse.
9.2PENALTYFORBREACHOFCONDITION:
DisqualificationunlesscircumstanceswarrantwaivingthepenaltyasprovidedinRule
337.
