I think the most significant contribution in this paper is focuses on the optimization of the

communication architecture under energy/performance constraints .For optimization for Noc

communications techniques what I prefer is traffic control modeling.
Traffic Model is derived of workloads within network in multicore system. The network
performance is heavily dependant on traffic which checks the inflows outflows of traffic. The
traffic models need s huge networking topological methods since real time problems requires
more time and efficiency.Traffic characteristics have been in foreplay for good amount of time
in multicore research fields. NoC traffic patterns are based on real time applications and covers
mesh, torus, and fat-tree topologies in NoC architectures. Noc has the following key aspects of real
applications such as Computation tasks, Memory usages ,Interconnection Routing etc via hop
count, burstiness and packet injection distribution and many more techniques.`

Very much has been reported that even the traffic generated by programmable cores consists
of multiple program phases . the designer then has to
Take optimal best routing algorithm and an efficient flow control scheme to manage the
incoming traffic.
the bandwidth latency of the interconnect architecture are the essential performance analysis,
while the area and power are the key cost deriving units
the research in this field is lacking behind because of the lack of a widely accepted of NoC
benchmarks .The reasons are . the applications suitable for NoC platforms are typically
verydifficult and complex to manage.
The general chip multiprocessors (CMPs), benchmarks test like SPLASH, was originally
dedicated for shared-memory multiprocessors, however it does not show how effectively such
benchmarks can actually stress the
NoCs. Then compared to traditional research fields like physical design where
the design limitations are static the NoC research requires detailed information about the
behavior of the system.
Due to these reasosn mant researchers and designers still
Depend on synthetic traffic patterns like uniform random, bit-permutation traffic, to stress-
test on network design. Another problem lies with NoCs is facing highly-constrained powers runtime.
Power management techniques have to be used and still it challenges remain in practical
routing algorithms.
Power consumption can also be lowered through system level architecture
techniques aimed at reducing the network activity. For
example, the use of data compression ,data analytics ,data manipulation can reduce packet
size and thereby network activity.
