Are you searching for a faith-filled challenge? Do you want to an educator and an evangelist?

The Catholic Community of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, is looking for a dynamic principal to
guide Prairie Catholic School. Prairie Catholic School has a strong history of education and
serving students in grades 3k-8 in southwest Wisconsin and northeast Iowa. Candidates
should be driven by the Holy Spirit to achieve great things, must be practicing Catholics
willing to advance the Catholic Mission of the school through strong organizational,
communication and leadership skills. Candidates must have current knowledge of Church
documents related to Catholic Schools. Additionally, the principal should have a solid
understanding of Vatican II, trends in contemporary education, and show evidence of
effective communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years teaching experience, a Masters degree in
administration and a current administrative license from the State of Wisconsin (or be working
toward earning a Wisconsin administrative license). Candidates need knowledge of current
curriculum and standards and have an enthusiasm for education.

The Prairie Catholic School principal is responsible to the Parish Pastor and the Diocesan
Superintendent of Catholic Schools. The school principal will collaborate with the Parish
Pastor in making effective decisions and executing a strategic vision with emphasis on
Catholic identity, academics, development, marketing, and school growth.
