The Technological System

The Technological System has been defined as one of the three ways to conceive the Building System and particularly
as the ensemble of the building technological units examined for the function they play in the Building System.
To follow, it is proposed a technological system classification that foresees its articulation in Classes of technological
units, in Technological Units and in Classes of technical elements. Such classification is found in the Italian UNI
Standard 8290/81.
The list of the classes of technological units is represented by the following graph:

The articulation in technological units and in classes of technical elements specifies the function and individualizes the
location of the technical elements inside the technological system. For every class of technological unit there is the
definition and the corresponding graph that represents the levels of further decomposition for every class of
technological unit.

Load-bearing structure is the ensemble of the technological units and of the technical elements belonging to the
building system having function to sustain the loads of the building system and to connect from the static point of view
its parts.

Closure is "the ensemble of the technological units and of the technical elements belonging to the Building System
having function to separate and to conform the interior spaces of the building system in comparison to the outside."

Interior partition is the ensemble of the technological unities and the technical elements belonging to the Building
System having function to divide and to conform the interior spaces of the building system itself.

Exterior Partition is the ensemble of the technological unities and the technical elements belonging to the Building
System having function to divide and to conform the external spaces connected with the Building System itself.

Building Services is the the ensemble of the technological unities and the technical elements belonging to the Building
System having function to allow the use of energetic, informative and material flows required by the users and to allow
the consequent leaving of the possible waste products.

Safety plant is "the ensemble of the technological unities and the technical elements belonging to the Building System
having function to protect the users e/o the Building System itself to forehead of situations of danger."

Inside equipment is "the ensemble of the technological unities and the technical elements belonging to the building
system having function to allow or to facilitate the exercise of activity of the users in the inside spaces of the building
system itself."

Exterior equipment is "the ensemble of the technological unities and the technical elements belonging to the building
system having function to allow or to facilitate the exercise of activity of the users in the external spaces connected with
the building system itself."
