Set up a Meeting: Disdain Against Minorities in the Trump Administration

and What we can do About it

In yesterdays press conference to the nation, Trump made several insensitive and
outright hostile comments geared toward both Jake Turx of Ami Magazine, (a
primarily Jewish platform) and April Ryan of American Urban Radio Networks.

When asked about how he would address various anti-Semitic actions with in the
US, Trump took the comment personally, claiming that He wasnt racist rather
than giving the reporter a definite course of action.

When April Ryan asked him if he would include the Congressional Black Caucus in
some of his urban infrastructure work, he told her to set up an appointment with
them. This both revealed his tone-deaf behavior toward racial issues, and
effectively regulating her to the status of secretary. Even more damning, the CBC
came out and said that they DID attempt to reach out to Trump about his plans for
the inner city, only to be ignored.

The Trump-Pence administration is also known to push LGBTQIA discrimination

and advocate for conversion therapy, both of which is known to have dire
consequences for the LGBTQIA community

I wanted my article to explain 3 ways in which minorities can resist these terrifying
changes:

1.) Joining various grassroots organizations.

2.) Contacting Lobbyists
3.) Voting for various candidates in the Congressional election.
4.) Maintaining our mental health in such a trying time.

I wanted to include links to various national grassroots organizations, as well as

mental health resources, and possible Congressional bills that are being passed
behind the scenes.
