FRIENDSHIPS

Aemon, over the last eighteen months I have watched you build a great relation-ship with Saloomi. At
first it was hard as you were both very little however as you both aged your friendship blossomed. Saloomi
would call you over to an activity saying Aemon, Aemon and then come and hold your hand and take you
to whatever he was doing. The bond you have is like brothers, at food times you would sit next to each
other and share your food however when it came to toys you would often want what the other one had,
although it wasnt long before you began sharing, and you knew how much Saloomi loved the rocking horse
and if you saw him upset you would bring the horse to him and gesture for him to sit down. You are
developing empathy for your friends which is so nice to see, and I think you have learnt this from your
big Brother Khalad and sister Kamila.

Te Whariki: Children experience an environment where they are encouraged to learn with and
alongside others. Outcomes: Using a range of strategies and skills to play and learn with others
Aemon, you are demonstrating compassion and understanding of others around you which is a
great skill to have as you start to transition into the overtwo classroom.
