1.1 Introduction
Technology nowadays has played a major role in the success of the business and helping

business to become more competitive in the industry as well as in the economy. Having a broad

understanding and responsible of information technology and its role in the new economy

enables the business to be successful and reach its goals effectively and efficiently. Since the use

of manual system on billing is very time consuming, it is usually done and used only by

extremely small establishments. This is where the introduction of computer technology

integrated with manual procedures started in businesses. This system will deal with the company

billings and also keeps a record of stocks. It is not only highly accurate but also saves much time

and money over the long term. The main advantages of a computerized billing and accounting

system is fast and accurate invoices, credit notes, purchased orders, printing statements, and

payroll documents are all done automatically. The accounting records are automatically updated;

the data is instantly available and can be made available to different users in different locations

at the same time. Computerized accounting programs reduce staff time doing accounts and

reduce audit expenses as records are neat, up-to-date and accurate. Billing system can give the

company and its clients all of the required data that they will need for items related to billing.

There a lots of coffee shop trying to fit in and be known to all coffee lovers. Others have unique

tricks like a coffee shop where you can play with cats or dogs. Caf Tribu prefer having a quiet

and relaxing place drinks are goods they have branches in Greenhills, Quezon City and Dubai .

Cakes are rich and tasty and the price are very affordable the freshly brewed coffee in the

morning in the afternoon a cold frappe or and iced coffee to keep you going.
 The cafs theme is more on a Spa type concept, meant to bring comfort and relaxation to

their customers. Their pieces and fixtures are edgy and comfortable too. Their average

price range for the frappe is P110 while their cakes slices are only P100 which is way more

affordable than other coffee shops. They also serve in generous positions, it has a lot of

potential because of the quality of their product and their aim to please people with their

food, service and ambiance.

1.2 Statement of the Problem

The study aims to know what computerized billing system fits for the coffee shop, and

how useful it will be to the said beneficiary. One of the advantages of a computerized billing

system is the quickness and efficiency, reducing the brainpower from the human operating it to

crunch numbers. The current billing system of Caf Tribu proves the slow speed and

inefficiency of a manual billing system, often than not calculation errors can incur into loss of

profits and even customer dissatisfaction. This system once learned can provide useful as you

can divert manpower to serving customers and performing other marketing services.

The system we will be developing shall help with their billing issues and fill the question of how

an automated system can prove to be more efficient than the former manual system. This system

may also provide some of the often asked questions such as:

Are all of their income considered and calculated to maximize spending

efficiency?

Where does all the uncalculated income go?

How sure are we that all of our money goes only and solely to our business?

How even do we provide the income for our manpower?

This may also; a) Divert manpower to other tasks. And b) make sure that employees get their

fair cut of the income based on the service and performance they had done.

However, despite all of this, overreliance on said system may lead to a few issues, such as the

loss of sensitive data and some calculated income if the system or computer crashes. Not only

that but also the price you need to pay for this system and possible maintenance and repairs if

system was not handled correctly. Productivity downtime may also happen due to the slight

learning curve of transferring to the new system.

1.3 Objectives of the study

General objective
This study aims to design and develop a Computerized billing System for Caf Tribu to
provide easy access in getting the order of the customer.

Specific objective
To avoid the problems encountered in manual system
To develop a computerized system to add, edit, delete records
To lessen the work of waiters when assisting the customer
To generate a user friendly system that will shorten and lessen the time need for
transaction
1.4 Significance of the Study
The primary significance in this research is to help users to well-organized every

transaction and minimize their workload. The system generates the orders and sales of the cafe.

The automated system will help the cafe compete to other firm in terms of fast service.

The system will help the users to minimize time and efforts in tending to the sales and products

than manually doing it. The study will focus on the

Cashier - the cashier will take less time to calculate charges rather than manual computing. It

also help them to save time and move on to service another customer

Manager- the manager can add, edit and delete products based on what he/she wants to do. The

manager can also monitor each cashier's total sales.

1.5 Scope and Limitation

Scope

This study deals with the computerized billing system for Cafe Tribu. The

proposed system will focusing on the Cafs billing system to change the manual system

that caf used, The study conducted in Cafe Tribu on Brgy. Langkaan II Dasmarias

Cavite. This system is password protected which means, users of the system required to

create their account and log in as an admin or cashier. The system can view and keep

the record of the sales and the income of the caf. Besides, it can also search a
product by entering a product id, and also monitor who are the users and it possible to

add, edit , delete products.

Limitation

Caf have been using manual billing system many years ago. The system is made

to help and give comfort for the beneficiary . This system cannot give all of our

beneficiaries need. It still have a limitation to provide caf needs. The Inventory

System is not included, the problems, updates, and changes of the system cannot be

perform by anyone unless the developers. This system cannot view not available in

online for any reasons. Also the daily attendance is not included on the system, Even

the password recovery when the users forgot their password it cant be done.
