1. Greetings: saying hello and basic conversation

How are you? / Hows it going? / How are you doing? / How do you Im great! / Im fine! / Im OK. / Not bad. / Im

Where are you from? / Where do you live? Im from (city / state / country). / I live in (city / state / country).

Important Notes:
Pay attention and dont mix how are you and who are you. Those are two very different questions!
In conversation, try to make the other person talk. Say and you and how about you to give back a question.
Example:
Igor: Hi! Whats your name?; Juliana: My name is Juliana. And you?
Igor: My name is Igor. Nice to meet you!; Juliana: Nice to meet you too. What do you do, Igor?
Igor: Im a teacher. How about you?; Juliana: Im a lawyer.
2. The Verb Be and its uses

VERB BE IN STATEMENTS POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES

4. What, Where, Who

WHAT WHERE WHO


What is usually used in questions referring to objects and feelings. Where is usually used in questions referring to location and places. Who is usually used in question referring to people.
Use possessive adjectives (my, your, their, our, his, her) to create
questions about other people.
Example Questions: Whats your name? / Whats her phone Example Questions: Where is the book? / Where are the keys? Example Questions: Who are you? / Who is she?

Model Answer: Its + answer. Model Answers: Model Answers: Verb be + answer.
Examples: 1. Its + place (singular).

Next to the (object). (Ex. Theyre next to the window.)
Under the (object). (Ex. Its under the chair.)
Email: @ = at / . = dot / .com = dot com
Address: number + (name) + street / avenue + neighborhood
Example: 909 Costa Barros street, Aldeota
