When exploring different habitats around the globe, students looked inward at their own habitats

(where they live that provides them with food, water, shelter, and who shares their spacefamily,
pets, pests, etc.) Students then compared and contrasted their habitats with one anotherlooking
for similarities and differences among the 6th grade class.
*This meets standards for publishing student work, celebrating and exploring diversity and student identities, and hedges into family
engagement topics.
