Extraction of Crude Papain

1.) The papaya is cut from top to bottom with the use of a razor
blade. The cut is made sure to be no more than 2 mm deep.

2.) The papaya is held over a container, allowing the latex to

drip into the container. The papaya was not squeezed to get to
the latex out.

3.) The container containing the latex was then set aside and
stored.
