World Biodiversity Conference

You are a scientist presenting at the World Biodiversity Conference. Your topic
is the effect of human-induced selection pressures on the extinction of
species. In your 3-minute presentation, you must:
- explain what role humans play in the extinction of species
- introduce one species which is endangered or extinct due to human
causes
- discuss how humans can minimise and reverse their negative impact on
species

Your presentation must be supported by a power point presentation.

Extension:
As part of your presentation, you can also make an informative video of things
everyone can do in everyday life to minimise our negative effects on local
ecosystems.

For example, use of beauty products with microbeads can be damaging to our
waterways, ending up in the food chain. In your video you could educate
people on how to check whether your beauty products have micro beads and
to avoid these products.

The video must be maximum 1.5 minutes long and should be added to the end
of your presentation. Marks will be awarded for creativity and content.
