SR.NO DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY

ELECTRICAL : COMMON
Obtain correct permit
Follow safety rules and guidelines.
Visually ensure all the incoming and out going
feeders are isolated/locked and earth switches are closed
Discharge any trapped charges with portable discharge pole.

YARD EQUIPMENTS:
Clean and inspect all insulators/bushings of CTs,PTs,Isolators and LAs.
Clean and lubricate moving parts of isolators and earth switches.
Clean the contacts and apply contact lubricant.
Check alignment and ensure simultaneous closing of all three phases of isolators.
Check interlock between isolator and earth switch.
Inspect all pigtails/braids for damage.
Inspect for corroded fasteners.
Inspect HV terminations and connectors for oxidation or sulphation.
Inspect sec.terminations of PTs and CTs
Inspect earth terminations and bondings of equipments and structures.
Check security of cable supports and clamps.
Measure and record insulation resistance of all installations.
Ensure correct identification of tags.
Carry out maintenance on earth pits and measure earth resistance.

FOR MOTOR OPERATED ISOLATORS:

Carry out PM on motor.
Clean and lubricate operating mechanism.
Check for electrical close and open operations
Check gearbox oil level in case geared motor is provided.
Ensure no material or tools are left out on any structure or equipment.
Visually confirm all earthings are removed/open.
Cancel the permit.
