Rodriguez seizes presidency in SHS CBS Elections 16

Adrian L. Rodriguez of the CHANGE Party List seized the Senior High School Central Board of
Students (SHS CBS) presidency with 362 votes during the General Elections held last July 21 at the St.
Joseph College Senior High School Department.

Other elected officers announced by the SHS CBS Commission on Elections (COMELEC) were
Francheska Sophia Dela Cruz, Vice President; Dahlia Baltazar, Secretary; Jade Angela San Gabriel,
Treasurer; Malic Cotongan, Auditor; Allen Roy Diciembre, Public Information Officer; Justine Carl
Adlawan, Peace Officer; and Ashley Joy Motos, Ellenor Joyce Bartolome, Jacqueline Joy Calma and Edmar
Vinoya, Grade 11 Representatives.

It was a landslide victory for the CHANGE Party list candidates winning most of the votes of the
student body and grabbing most of the positions of the organization as the two parties who competed
for the years general elections were the CHANGE Party List and ISIP Party List.

The campaign period was held on July 20 while the introduction of candidates, presidential and
vice-presidential debates, and general elections were held the day after. Furthermore, the
announcement of elected officers were held on July 22.

A meeting was immediately held by the new CBS officers in the afternoon regarding their plans
for the semester together with Mr. Jess Ramos, their CBS Adviser.
