Beck #11066 Case:161917-2017 Central Patrol Division First Responder Statement I responded to a call about a disturbance at Clutch bar, 2520 Cedar spring Road where the caller (Washington, Kent)’s friend reported that someone hit his friend but he didn’t see it. When arrived, the comp was being treated by DFR rescue 70. The comp was wearing all white as described in the comments, and was bleeding from an injury to his nose. The comp was intoxicated and stated he did not see who hit him. The comp decided he wanted to go in the ambulance to the hospital and was transported to Parkland hospital for a broken nose. While speaking with the comp, my cover, D121 Sgt Palmer, Charles L (8104) arrived on scene. The caller, (Washington, Kent) stated he did not see any of the assault and only found the comp on the ground afterwards. While getting this information, a possibly Middle Eastern male wearing a blue collar shirt and black pants, approached me and my cover. He stated that “the Cowboy's running back just hit that guy”. He stated he did not see Elliott, Ezekiel punch the comp, but ~ Elliott; Ezekiel was standing over the comp wherrhe hit the ground: Healso stated he begar—-~ recording on his phone after he saw the comp on the ground. The male stated he was standing near the window facing 2500 Cedar Springs Road, near the comer of the bar pointed towards that window. When I asked him for his identification, he stated he did not want to be involved but stated two females he was standing with saw everything and he would get them so they could provide me with more information. The male stepped back into the business and disappeared into the crowd. I was unable to find the male for further questioning. I asked the caller if he saw Elliott, Ezekiel near the comp or if they had any issues and he stated that Elliott, Ezekiel was at the business at the time but he wasn’t near the comp when they found him on the floor. The caller stated Elliott, Ezekiel was no longer at the business. I was not wearing a Body Worn Camera. I did not go to the hospital because the comp stated he did not see or remember anything about the assault except being hit and he was intoxicated. 18/2017 Officer G. I arrived at the bar at approximately 6pm and observed Mr. Elliott out front. At approximately 9:30pm an employee from the bar pointed towards a side door were a male was standing bleeding from his nose with three other males. Officer McA fee asked everyone at the door what hhappened three times. No one said anything and male walked off. Officer McAfee asked if he needed an ambulance, one male stated that one was on its way. I then observed a male that was asked to leave, and I escorted off the property. At around about 9:40 pm a staff member came outside where me and officer Howard where standing and pointed to a group of around 4 guys standing by aside door and stated that guy may need a paramedic ,At which time we both proceeded to their location , I asked three different people what happen and do they need DFR, got no response about the incident , one said they had an ambulance on the way already , I asked the ‘guy sitting down if he needed the police and got no response.
