 REMOTE CONTROLLED LIGHT DIMMER

All of us have our own likes and dislikes. We have different likes when it comes to color,

food, even when it comes to the brightness of the light. There are people who likes very bright

light, and there are who likes dim light, or very dim light, especially when it comes to sleeping,

because some people cant sleep without a little illumination. This type of device is not common

in households, but you can see or experience the functions of this device when you go to five star

hotels and resorts.

Description

The Remote Controlled Light Dimmer is a light whose switch and level of brightness can

be controlled through an IR Remote. The red LED is an indicator whether the light is on or off.

The three green LEDs are for low, medium, and high level of light.

1 x IC 4017

3 x Transistors

4 LEDs

1 x USB Port

1 x 1k Ohms Resistor
 1 x 100 Ohms Resistor

1 x 10 farad Capacitor

1 x USB Lamp

Advantage

The good thing about this device is that you can control the brightness of the light from a

distance without exerting much effort. You can decide how bright you want the light to be at your

convenience.

Disadvantage

One disadvantage is that the sequence of the brightness of light is always, LOW to

MEDIUM to HIGH. We cannot reverse it to HIGH to MEDIUM to LOW.
