WEEK OF AUGUST 28, 2017


I am pleased to announce that starting next week, we will begin
selecting a Student of the Week every week. Their photo will be posted on my face-

MATH ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS

HANDWRITING
Students will begin practicing the overcurve and undercurve in

Moons movement around Earth and describing the characteristics of
the Moon) .
RELIGION-This week students will recall Jesuss death and resurrection
and complete Chapter 2. This weeks Word of the Week is prophet-a
person seen as an inspired teacher and proclaimer of the will of God.
This Weeks Good News comes from Matthew 16:13-20.
SOCIAL STUDIES-Students will use data to compare rainfall in three
different communities and be able to relate the history of a community.

Please be sure to download the forms regarding the handbook. If you cannot print them out, please let me
know so that I can send home a copy. Be sure to send in the photo release signed so that your childs photo
can be posted as Student of the Week!
MUSIC PROGRAM
Don't forget to sign up your children for our after school music programs! If interested, please regis-
ter with Mr. Salcido. The piano sessions are closed, but room is still available in classes for other in-
struments. For more information, please contact Mr. Salcido at rsalcido@stpatrickelpaso.org. You
may drop off your registration form in Mr. Salcidos Room

Virtus Training
ALL parents must attend Virtus training. New parents, training sessions will be held on August 29 @ 4:00
p.m. in the library. Attendees must register online and may the fee before being admitted to the class. Re-
turning parents must take the recertification training online. An e-mail should be sent to you with a link to
this training video.

pass for Friday, September 1.
Diocesan Schools Mass at St. Raphael @ 9:00 a.m. Only Student Council and NJHS students will
attend
August 31-Mass prepared by 8B; Students are required to wear Mass attire
September 1-Spirit Dress and early dismissal @ 1:00 p.m. Students may wear spirit dress as outlined in the
school handbook (jeans, spirit shirt-tucked in, belt, uniform socks and shoes). Jeans should not have holes or
rips.
