Topic: Listening &Speaking (Presentation on the Use of Mobile Phones)


Aims:
For students to deliver a 3 minutes presentation on the impact of mobile phone on modern life.

Learning Objectives:
Listen to and generate general ideas from an audio presentation
Match vocabulary for expressing different sides of a situation
Deliver a three minutes presentation on the effect of mobile phone on modern life.

Group Profile:
This is a mixed level class consisting of low entry 2 and solid entry 2 levels of ability.
All lessons are linked to the Adult ESOL Core Curriculum
Where possible, learners are encouraged and referred to access future courses at the Institute.
IT skills will be developed through a regular session in the computer suite.
Differentiation:
Group members are from a range of cultural backgrounds. The conduct of the lesson will allow students to
participate and express their views. Lower-level students will be encouraged to participate fully in group
discussions by working with confident students. Questioning strategies will ensure that all learners are
engaged in the discussions. Timings are flexible to allow for students contributions.
