Gulf Catering Services, Khartoum, Sudan / Warehouse manager

Responsible for three warehouses consisting from 25,000 square meters in hard buildings and sea
containers while storing and distributing 1,400 ton of dry, frozen and fresh food on weekly basis
for the United Nations mission in Darfur. On daily basis liaising with the Stock Controller in
regards to daily picks and ensuring pick lists are returned to Stock Controller daily, even if they
are not completed. Assisting Stock Controller with off-loading containers in the correct order to
supply sector warehouses and ensuring pallets are packed correctly for road transport and in
exceptional circumstances for air transport.
Checking the warehouse at least twice a day for damage and/or goods that is in the wrong place.
Reporting all the damages occurred to Stock Control and Quality Assurance. Checking all teams
during the off-loading are they completing the GRNs correctly and are they labeling the pallets
correctly and stocks are put away in the correct locations as directed by stock control.
Checking the seals on the warehouse doors at the start and the end of the working day and
signing lists to state all is correct or reporting any anomalies if/when occurred.
Contact Quality Assurance if there are any issues with stock whilst off-loading or loading.
Providing teams for the Stock Controller to facilitate the stock counts.
Ensuring the Warehouse Supervisors control and teach their local staff.
Monitor and report performance related issues like temperature control of delivery vehicles,
timely arrival of deliveries at final destination to the end customer.
Ensure Food Delivery Notes are checked against the food received, corrected where necessary
and duly signed by all relevant parties.
Carry out quality inspections of fresh, frozen, dry and canned food rations during deliveries to
the warehouse locations.
Inspect the storage facilities and verify stock balance reports submitted to the company.

Consolidates and verifies contingent/unit requisitions for food rations, reviews orders and
deliveries to ensure compliance with CMR and actual troop strength reports.
Implements the Quality Assurance Surveillance Program for the warehouse location.

Ciano Company, Kabul, Afganistan as Accountant / Warehouse manager

Ive been working in Afghanistan as Accountant / Warehouse manager for the Italian Company
"Ciano". Planning, organizing and controlling operation in a professional manner ensuring
prompt, efficient and quality service to the clients including the food and drinks inventory in the
warehouse, service, housekeeping, laundry as per contractual specifications and in line with
superiors instructions. Closely monitoring the stock level and stock rotation to ensure
compliance with the given targets and objectives. Conduct regular inventories to check
discrepancies between physical and actual stock. Ensure that stock is properly maintained and
procedures are followed properly, FIFO (first-in, first-out). Inspect the storage areas to check any
spoilage or damage to inventories.
I was accountant for the salaries of 150 employees, holidays, paying electric and phone bills for
the restaurant and PX stores, as well as other staff related issues; I was responsible for the
incoming and outgoing goods, on behalf of the restaurant and several PX stores. Informing
Operations Manager of all the major issues or development related to the operation.

I was responsible for keeping the books of all incoming and outgoing goods for the restaurant
and PX's in deferent regions of Lebanon; responsible for the accounting of salaries for the
employees within Ciano company. Monitoring and controlling all food deliveries and invoices,
quality and storage of the food. Make sure all the storage areas and doors are locked when not in
use. Prepare duty roster of staff on site and monitor compliance and ensure proper allocation of
duties to control overtime. Prepare and maintain documents, reports and records as per the
company and clients requirements.

extra cost, handle every complaint/suggestion from clients with positive attitude, sincerity and

Restaurant run by "Ciano" Company

I used to work as a Deputy Manager for the "Peacekeepers" Restaurant run by "Ciano" Company.
Monitoring the maintenance and keeping the books of the restaurant and other staff relating to
the restaurant. Performing functions related to requisitioning, receipt, storage, distribution,
accounting of frozen and dry, fresh, fruits and vegetables including soft drinks and water.
Conduct frequent inspections of services under the assigned contract to ensure contractual
compliance and quality control for the customer satisfaction. Plan and prepare menus in
coordination with Chief Cook and seek clients approval for the changes. Propose and participate
in the preparation of new menu as and when required. Review monthly and daily requisitions
with Chief Cook and Storekeeper to control excess or shortages of stocks.

I was employed as a Facility Administrator and Catering Support-ESS with duty station in
Pristina and monitoring, supplying different goods for Catering and Cleaning/Janitorial services
for ten UN Special Police Camps in different Regions in Kosovo within UNMIK mission
monitoring contracted Restaurants and Cafeteria including 10 UN kitchen facilities, warehouses
and food delivery of fresh, dry, frozen, bottled water and food trucks/freezers.
Also during the most of the time I was in charge personally to arrange all necessary paperwork
for the Customs/Border to ensure that all the trucks coming from abroad and delivering Food
items like Frozen, Dry, Fruits and Vegetables, drinking bottled water and cleaning material
/equipment.
I was also liaising with UNMIK on daily basis to finish all the invoices for the Custom Clearance
and make sure that there is all done in time. Ensure timely execution of contractual services to
various units and maintain daily control on quality and quantity of food served to client.
