One of our Creche student Chermalatha has informed her mother on 19.08.16 Friday to bathd
her and to take her to the nearby temple. Also she has insisted to put the sacred ash in hey
forehead. All these good habits has come only because of the Vivekananda Kendra Creche.
Thus her mother exclaimed. This made me so happy.

We went Thiruvattar for the arrangement of 1008 Deepa Pooja to meet Sri. Ananthakrishna|
Nayar, the Trustee of the Temple. We met his wife and informed the matter. She also told us
that they were living in a rented house at Kulasekaram and were praying to build and own
house. They used to provide 4 tins oil for the Deepa Pooja. By the grace of the God now they
have constructed a new house and living there. Their younger son has also built a house
and living there. They informed the matter happily to me which made me feel so happy.

couldn’t talk, eat, wouldn’t even laugh and sleep well. As advised by their well wishers, the

One day I was talking about Anna Pooja, often held at Kanyakumari Vivekananda Kendra. On
the heap of the rice collected by devotees , the statue of Annapoorani would be placed and
decorated with flowers, sandal and kumkum to render prosperity to the humanity. | explained
this to my students. The next day, one of the student Arunkumar clearly explained about the
pooja to her parents and pressed them to offer rice for the pooja. That rice would be cooked
after the pooja and served to the poor as Prasad, he had told the parents. Readily his parents
gave 15 kg rice for the Anna Pooja and praised the Kendra for encouraging young toddlers to
learn and practice Hindu rituals and poojas.
