Development:

On December 2, 1945, the first Bimbo S.A. Bakery production plant was opened, located in
the Colonia Santa Mara Insurgentes, in the Distrito Federal

The facilities had an office space, a yard, a warehouse and a production room that could
now be considered as rudimentary, since some operations were done manually, even the
molds were emptied based on blows with some energy.

The first products of the Bimbo bear, which included large bread, small bread and toasted
bread, left at 3:00 pm on December 2. The black bread began to be elaborated until
January of 1946 and at the end of the following year the line of breadmaking went out to
the market.

For distribution in bakeries, bread shops, grocery stores and stores, 10 trucks were used
that were only supplied to the Federal District. Today, Grupo Bimbo produces, distributes
and markets more than 5000 products, including a wide variety of box bread, sweet bread,
bakery, pastry, confectionery, sweet and savory snacks, packaged corn tortillas and flour
Wheat, toast, cajeta (caramel) and some other products.

The distribution of its products, made in its 76 plants and 3 marketers located in Mexico,
the United States, Central and South America, Europe and Asia, covers more than
1,000,000 points of sale in the world.

Sales place: Sales through cell phones in addition to sales through periodic visits to
customers, as well as daily deliveries, night supply, optimization of shelf space, exhibitors,
specialized support for the traditional channel (miscellaneous) and differentiated offers of
products for each channel.

Importance in Mexico: Today, they are the most important Bakery Company in the world by
brand positioning, volume of production and sales, in addition they are the undisputed leader of its
branch in Mexico
