Scope

This DTNA Material Specification covers heavy duty, extreme pressure, API GL-5 gear oil. It is compounded
using a synthetic basestock, which has a high viscosity index and an exceptionally low pour point. This
lubricant contains extreme pressure additives, as well as rust, oxidation and corrosion inhibitors to protect
gears and bearings operated under a wide variety of load conditions.

Application
This lubricant is used in Axle Alliance Company, Meritor and Dana rear drive axles installed in all DTNA vehicle
models.

1. This lubricant meets the following specifications:
a. API Service Classifications GL-5 and MT-1
b. MIL-PRF-2105E / SAE J2360
c. Arvin Meritor 076-N
d. Dana Corporation, SHAES 256 Rev C
e. Dana Corporation, SHAES 429
2. Delivery must conform to drawing specifications. No changes permitted without prior approval from DTNA
Engineering.
3. Permitted substitutions:
a. 48-26154-000 may be used as substitute for 48-26002-000, but may incur a cost penalty.
b. 48-26002-000 may not be used as a substitute for 48-26154-000.
