o PPA 16 years
o Onsite solar = 5% total consumption
o Minburi w/in BKK (a few industrial plots)
o Gateway also has a plant w/in MEA
o Few warehouses in PEA region
o Unilever already far down PV path with two final suppliers at the ready

Proposal
o With a focus on operations in Minburi, conduct an analysis of clean energy
options to help Unilever meet its global target of being carbon positive by
2030
o Some options include:
o Energy efficiency audit
Lighting
HVAC
Material handling
Pumps
Processing equipment
Cooling systems
etc
o Water efficiency audit
Piping losses
Water leaks and pressure loss
Pump sizing
Water usage
o Biomass
Available biomass on site
Feedstock management
Planting own feedstock
Existing waste
Feedstock contract with communities
Thermal or electricity use
o Biogas
Available biogas making waste on site
Feedstock management
o Waste to energy
Current waste management contract
Cost savings from both waste management and energy
production
o Water pumping, water treatment and transportation
o Thermal energy uses
Hot water heating
Combined Heat and Power
Solar water heater
Waste heat recovery
Insulating pipes, boilers, etc
Steam generation
All of the above
Current steam generation method?
Closed loop steam generation possible?
Preheating water for steam generation
o Include analysis of:
o Operations
Energy use (daily load profile)
Types of energy use
Process chain of the various activities
Energy use prioritization (which segment is the top 10 highest
use such as lighting, cooling, HVAC, etc)
o Feedstock (own from pkg waste and ag)
o Processes and activities mapping
o Government programs
o Development financing
o Expansion could include operations in Gateway and warehouses in PEA
region
o Next steps:
o Data request from ACI:
How many buildings in Minburi?
Load profile?
GPS coordinates
Available land
Plans for PV installation
Transportation (fleet data, routes, etc)
Electricity cost (and monthly bills?)
Water cost (and monthly bills?
Any new building designs?
Source of water and how its transported (if not piped
municipal water)
Other?
