    Ethylene glycol has two grades according to its technical parameters: superior and first. Superior grade ethylene glycol must contain at least 99.8% ethylene glycol and no more than 0.05% diethylene glycol, 0.001% residue after heating, and have a refraction factor between 1.431-1.432. First grade ethylene glycol requires a minimum of 98.5% ethylene glycol and allows up to 1% diethylene glycol and higher impurity limits.
