The table.

pnt file is used to control the thickness of lines displayed in drawings not parts,

You need to create a text file called 'table.pnt' using wordpad

Here is the contents of my 'table.pnt' file for reference:

! This is a pen table file. See Interface Guide under pen mapping.
! use for plotters

! Pen 1 = white entities (object lines)

! Pen 2 = yellow entities (text, dimensions, cross hatching)
! Pen 3 = gray entities (hidden lines)
! Pen 4 = red entities (can use for drawing border if you change the ! entity color to red in the format file)
! Pen 5 = green entities (sheetmetal)
! Pen 6 = cyan entities (section)
! Pen 7 = dark gray entities (dimmed)
! Pen 8 = blue entities (spline surface grid)

pen 1 thickness .020 cm; color 0.0 0.0 0.0

pen 2 thickness .005 cm
pen 3 thickness .005 cm
pen 4 thickness .035 cm; color 0.0 0.0 0.0
pen 5 thickness .015 cm
pen 6 thickness .010 cm
pen 7 thickness .010 cm
pen 8 thickness .015 cm

The lines beginning with ! are used for comments and are ignnored by Pro/E.

You can save the file to the Pro/E startup directory, where your 'config.pro' file is usually located.

If you're not sure where your startup directory is, you can find out by selecting >Help >System Information
from the top menu in Pro/E.

You can tell Pro/E where the find the file by adding the following line into your 'config.pro' file

pen_table_file c:\start-folder\table.pnt

Just edit the line to reflect YOUR startup directory.

If you are using printer configuration files (.pcf ) you can add the line into there instead

The change in line thickness should be displayed when you print out the drawing.

I hope this helps :-)
