This question paper consists of three questions. Question 1, Question 2 and Question 3.
Kertas soalan ini mengandungi tiga soalan. Soalan 1, Soalan 2 dan Soalan 3.
1. In an experiment, sodium thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid. 50 cm3 of 0.10 mol dm3 sodium thiosulphate
solution at 25 C was put into conical flask of volume 250 cm3. The conical flask was place on a piece of
paper marked with an X sign. Using a measuring cylinder, 20 cm3 of 0.50 mol dm3 hydrochloric acid was
measured and then poured into the conical flask with sodium thiosulphate solution. At the same time, the
stopwatch was started. The time was recorded as soon as the sign X no longer visible. The procedure was
repeated using the same volume of sodium thiosulphate solution at temperatures of 30 C, 40 C, 50 C, and
60 C. The stopwatch readings for each temperature is shown in Diagram below.
Di dalam satu eksperimen, 50 cm3 0.10 mol dm3 natrium tiosulfat pada suhu 25 C diletakkan ke dalam
kelalang kon 250 cm3. Kelalang kon itu diletakkan di atas sekeping kertas yang bertanda X. Dengan
menggunakan silinder penyukat, 20 cm 0.50 mol dm3 asid hidroklorik diukur dan kemudiannya dituangkan
ke dalam kelalang kon dengan larutan natrium tiosulfat. Pada masa yang sama, jam randik dimulakan. Masa
direkodkan sebaik sahaja tanda X tidak lagi kelihatan. Prosedur diulang menggunakan isi padu yang sama
natrium tiosulfat pada suhu 30 C, 40 C, 50 C dan 60 C. Bacaan jam randik bagi setiap suhu ditunjukkan
pada Rajah di bawah.
