Faculty of Education University i | of Windsor | February 7, 2017 ‘To Whom It May Concer: 1am very pleased to write this letter in support of Taylor Masse in her application for a teaching position. | have known Taylor since September 2015 and have had her in two Differentiated Instruction courses and an Educational Psychology course in our Consecutive Bachelor of Education program. Although the courses I teach are quite large and it is difficult to get to know most students personally, I have had a variety of engaging conversations with Taylor and know her to be a very intelligent and dedicated teacher who has a tremendous amount to offer students in the primary/junior panel. Taylor was always punctual for classes and never missed a class of mine in any course. Given her work ethic. I presume that was the case for her other courses as well. In additon. all of her assignments were always thoughtfully and thoroughly completed and demonstrated excellent understanding of the material. As seen in her practice teaching reports, Taylor has also had extremely successful teaching placements at a variety of grade levels. She is able to create interesting and effective lessons that engage the students at any level and developed an excellent rapport with the students. Taylor is very aware of exactly what accommodations she needs and is proactive in ensuring they are in place so that she is able to be successful. As a result, Taylor has been, and continues to be, extremely successful in our program. It has been a pleasure knowing Taylor over the last two years. I know that given Taylor’s personal and professional characteristics she will be an extremely effective and successful classroom teacher and | strongly recommend her for any PJ teaching position. Yours sincerely, Luli, flee Elizabeth M. Starr, Ph.D. Professor
