Maximum only 2 layers shall be in any cable tray

The height of the lowest cable tray from the finished floor level shall
be not less than 2m

Support for cable tray should provide strength and working load
capabilities sufficient to meet the load requirement of cables and the
minimum bending radius of cable.
1) The control /LV power cables shall be taken in two layers on the cable
ladders
2) The cables shall be neatly dressed as per site requirement
3) Distance between the vertical supports shall be maintained as 1.5m
and shall be modified to suit site condition
4) Tray support to be provided on every 1.2 m on alternate sides for 4
layer arrangement of trays.
5) All pipe sleeves proposed shall be as per MEW practice
6) All accessories used shall be pre-fabricated type
7) Earthing jumper shall be used for ladder /tray earthing
8) Cable trays and vertical runs are to be connected to earth at least 10
mtrs intervals (Based on site feasibility)
9) All cable ladder/ tray shall be hot dip galvanized type
10) Continuity of cable trays shallbe flexible copper cable shallbe
installed at both side of cable trays/ ladders
11) All cable tray/ corner shall be free of sharp edges & smooth and
cut/open part of trays, ladder & support shall be covered with end cap
against mech. Protection.
12) The fixing of vertical supporters shall be done as per Kuwait
practice
13) The beams crossing of trays shall be taken care as per site
feasibility
14) All vertical & horizontal supports shall be unistrut channel.
