BAPTISM

The word comes from the Greek word Baptiso which

means to immerse
Great is the controversy around this subject and so should be approached with great care,
humility and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Its not what somebody was or what somebody said in any age but what God says about it,
its not about which denomination you belong to or what doctrine you hold there but its
about gospel truth

Its not about what some other great theologian said or what the Pope said but what the
holy bible said. Its not about how you feel it should be done but how God feels it should be
done. Its not about someones influence but the bibles influence, its not about how many
degrees someone holds but its about simple gospel truth.

Centuries after the death of the last apostles many baptism formulas emerged, some draw a
cross with water on the forehead but others sprinkle with water and it can be noted without
any scriptural reference that they are wrong since the word means to immerse.

Some immerse once, some thrice. Some do the immersion in the name of the Father, Son
and Holy Ghost, some in Jesus name. But how and why, there must be a commandment for
Christian baptism in the bible, surely there is one.

Mathew 28 vs 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am
with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen

Jesus said this to his disciples after his resurrection but before he ascended to heaven, it
must be noted that baptism was always done before. John 4 vs 2 (Though Jesus himself
baptized not, but his disciples,). John also baptised even the Lord himself.

Beloved friends you are responsible for your own salvation, do something about your
salvation. The bible is not like any other book but a book of prophecies and never does it
contradict itself. 2 Timothy 3 vs 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God.. See,
even the interpretation should be by inspiration. To avoid contradiction cast away theology
which caused Pharisees and Sadducees to miss the kingdom of God. Here is the right
approach to the bible, wait upon God to help you with the interpretation. Interpret scripture
with scripture and you will never contradict.

Ephesians 4 vs 14 That we henceforth be no more children tossed to and fro, and carried
about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby
they lie in wait to deceive;
Mathew 28 vs 19 is not easy to understand as many may think, why? Disciples were given
the commandment in Mathew but the works of the apostles are found in the book of Acts.
As I said its not that easy to understand, in Acts 1 vs 2 it says,.. he through the Holy
Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
It takes the same Holy Ghost to be upon you to understand this scripture, disciples waited in
the upper room for the Holy Ghost which came upon them on the day of Pentecost.

The drama starts to unfold on the day of Pentecost after they received the Holy Ghost as
spiritual truth is only discerned by the help of the Holy Spirit. Jesus himself said, John 16 vs
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of Truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth
As they spoke in new tongues some mocked saying these men are full of new wine but Peter
started preaching to them about the same Jesus whom they crucified how that he was made
both Lord and Christ, it pricked them in their hearts until they asked the disciples, men and
brethren what shall we do
Acts 2 vs 38 .., Repent, and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus for
the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Did the disciples contradict Jesus? No sir, then why? Jesus said name (singular and not
plural), he didnt say names. Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not names but titles that
pertain to a name like any one of us is a father but has a name and a son but has a name.
Father is not a name of anyone but a title of a parent, see! After receiving the Holy Ghost
they got it by revelation that the name of the Father was Jesus, and of the Son was Jesus,
and of the Holy Ghost was Jesus. Who can doubt this when Jesus said when the Holy Spirit
has come he shall guide you in all truth plus remember Jesus said I will be with you even
unto the end of the world. He was with them and God honoured what they did, if it was
disobedience we know God doesnt honour disobedience.
These same disciples, most of them are the ones which wrote the new testament and if they
be wrong then the whole gospel becomes a lie.

Luke 24 vs 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name
among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem
Repentance and remission of sins comes through that baptism
Colossians 3 vs 17 And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord
Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
See whatever means all, everything, there you are now

There was no one in the bible who was ever baptized using titles, in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Try and search for yourself, I am giving other places
where people were baptised but I cant exhaust them all.

Acts 8 vs 16 .........................: only were they baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Acts 10 vs 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.

Well you might say its all the same, No sir its not. Ephesians 4 vs 5 One Lord, one faith, one
baptism,
Again to show its not the same, Paul when he came to Ephesus he met certain disciples who
had believed the same gospel. Upon asking them whether they had received the Holy Ghost
or not he found that they never knew whether there was any Holy Ghost.
He then asked them unto which baptism were they baptised and they said Johns baptism,
he told them about the baptism of Jesus
Acts 19 vs 5 When they heard this, they were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Today by the grace of God you happen to be one of these disciples of Acts 19, what do you
do now

Why do people baptize with a baptism that was never used on any one in the bible?

Luke 10 vs 21 , I thank thee , O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid
these things from the eyes of the wise and prudent, There is your theology now, see
Mark 4 vs 12 and hearing they may hear, and not understand;
John 8 vs 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my word
44 You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.
47 He that is of God heareth Gods words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of
God.
1 Timothy 4 vs 1 Now the spirit speaketh expressely, that in the latter times some shall
depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

I cant finish this because it will wind up in the antichrist and the mark of the beast, there is
too many scriptures to quote but I will just give a few and close.

2 Timothy 3 vs 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn
away. See , from such turn away , Yes sir
2 Thessalonians 2 vs 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or
that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is
God.

WHAT? The whole thing will wind up in satan being worshipped, the antichrist and the mark
of the beast
People are ignorantly worshipping satan thinking they are worshipping God and thats the
worst thing that satan has done.
Mathew 24 vs 24 a must read verse

I would rather follow Gods commandments and doctrine rather than following man

I dont care what qualifications he hold, how popular he is or what miracles he does, if God
says something I ought to obey him and not anyone else. Its not surprising that people
forsake God for a man because in John 5 vs 43 Jesus said I come in my Fathers name and
you do not receive me but if any man come in his own name him shall you receive

The End
