Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced JavaScript developer to build a framework of
UI components that improve our customer experience and make our developers happy.

Amazon Web Services offers a broad set of global compute, storage, database, analytics, application, and
deployment services that help organizations move faster, lower IT costs, and scale applications. Every
day, our customers interact with a large number of single-page applications to manage their cloud-
infrastructure.

Build performant and highly reusable UI components with us, to ensure a great user experience across
all these different offerings.

If you have a passion for how web applications should be built, are always interested in upcoming web
standards, care about making other developers lives better, want to work with world-class engineers to
solve hard problems, we'd love to talk to you!

You will work highly customer-focused and be given the time to learn and experiment with the latest
frontend technologies.

You will be part of a SCRUM team that delivers well-tested and reviewed releases.

You will innovate and simplify the process of creating interfaces for all Amazon Web Services.

In close collaboration with project teams around the globe you have the chance to redefine the
development process for modern web-based applications.

Our team is located in Berlin and Seattle.

Qualifications

Development experience in larger projects


In-depth knowledge of different JS frameworks (e.g. AngularJS, React, GWT, Ember.js)
An eye for clean, testable, maintainable, and performant code
Interest in the latest frontend technology, e.g. Web Components
Great communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for software developer with experience building large scale software and application
architecture, therefore knowledge of another language such as Ruby, Python, Go or Java is preferred.
Experience with Web Components and other upcoming W3C standards
Experience with cross-platform / device development
Contribution to Open Source projects
Github repos and/or a proven interest in the mentioned areas are a big plus

As a lot of the technologies we use are rather new and partially experimental you should provide links to
relevant repositories or writings if you have contributed to these projects or have explored them in
depth
