He led the US through the Civil War(the greatest moral ,constitutional and political

slavery.
He also strengthened the federal government and modernized economy.

MAHATMA GHANDI (INDIA)


Born on the 2nd of October 1869 and passed on the 30th of January 1948
Known as the leader of the Indian Independence Movement against the British rule.
Employing nonviolent civil disobedience ,he led India to independence and inspired
movements for civil rights and freedom across the whole world .
Unofficially called as the Father of the Nation
First nonviolent disobedience was as an expatriate lawyer in South Africa , in the
resident Indian Communitys struggle for civil rights.
He return to India,1915 set about organizing peasents ,farmers,and urban labourers to
protest against excessive land-tax and discrimination.
Led nationwide campaigns for various social causes and for achieving Swaraj or self-
rule.
NELSON MANDELA(AMERICA)
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela ,born on the 18th July 1918 and passed on %th
December 2013
He was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary,politician and
philanthropist who served as the President of South Africa from 1994 til 1999.
He was the countrys first black head of state and the first elected in a fully
representative democratic election.
His government focused on dismantling the legacy of the apartheid by tackling
insititutionalised racism and fostering racial reconciliation.
He studied law at the University of Fort Hare and University of the
Witwatersrand before working as a lawyer in Johannesburg.

THEODORE ROOSEVELT (AMERICA)


Theodore Roosevelt Junior was born on October 27th 1858 and died on the 6th of
January 1919.
He was an American statesman,author,explorer,soldier,naturalist and reformer
who served as the 26th President of the US from 1901 to 1909.
He became a driving force after handling loads of positions in the political
sector especially for the Progressive Era in the US during the early 20th century.
His face is depicted on Mount Rushmore,alongside George Washington,Thomas
Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln.
He also overcame his physical health problems by embracing a strenuous
lifestyle.
