MK 15 Mod 4 Fins NSN 1325-00-173-2719 F541 are to be modified at before use. Modification procedure is as follow Remove existing release Band Clamp and D-ring from Fin Assembly and Discard. Cut a length (8 inches) of 0.063 Braided Wire NSN 4010-21-847-4934, In place of the retaining Rand Clip, on one side of the retaining band locating tab, loop the wire through the locating slot twice, install a swage NSN 4030-00-431-5536, pull tight and crimp the swage.
