FIX IN ART

Anazitites Theatrou a.k.a FIX in art , is a non profit creativity inspiration hub
in Thessaloniki Greece. We are located within FIX factory a historical
monument of the city which is currently falling appart and we are trying to
restore it and turn it into a creativity and inspiration factory.

We are currently in the process of revamping an additional space of

1000sq. m which we would like to turn into co working space and
entrepreneurship hub, while planning it we came accross the possibility of
peer to peer learning via creative hubs funding and thought that we should
jump in and take this opportunity of learning from an already established

On day one and two we focused on exploring

and using the space, to understand howthe

end user feels, at the same time we were

observing and prepared a list of questions for

our meeting with Julianne and Janos later in

the evenings.

FIX IN ART TEAM

We decided to travel as a team of 2 , myself and Dionisis Zafeiridis, the

vicepresident and creator of the entire fix in art project.
Each one was able to tackle different aspects of the co working project
and the questions raised during our meetings with Julianne and Janos,
complemented each other and gave us a complete idea and plan.

After two tours around the premises, one from Julianne and one from Janos each
one sharing their own experience of the project, we had a complete idea of the co
working space they run and what they aspire to. We were able to ask questions
along the way , and also learn from Juliannes extensive experience from other co
working space.s

EXPLORING
FOLLOW UP METING NEEDED

Unfortunately during our visit we did not manage to have atour from one
of the projet managers, but we did roam around the space , explored and
got the vibe and an idea of the mode of operation.

Through our exchange of emails, and calls we were able to establish also a
personal connection and an open communitation to plan a face to face
meeting during our second visit to Berlin, beginning December.

URBAN SETTING
We got a very interesting tour from Kwstis the community manager
The difference between a co working communty in the outskirts and the
city was evident.

The relationship with the community was on a daily basis with established
events. From Beta Breakfast, to Fuck wednesdays and community lunchers.
Networking and start ups being the focus of the space.

We got a lot of ideas on how we could resolve issues already facing in our
community kitchen , and also decided to implement a team board in our
space as well.

COMPLETION

At Impact Hub , we loved the concept of working together for social

change, and hosting NGO's and visionaries together. The clear labeling of
'terms of use' of the community kitchen and space, will work as an
inspiration for the management of our space as well.

CONCEPTS
Through this series of visits, we were
able to clarify the form and structure
we wish to give to our co working
creativity space. We were also able to
'absorb' a lot of good prcatices in
relation to running a and facilitating a
community and the importance of the
existence of a community manager.
We spoke a lot and found positive
feedback to create bridges and a
network among the hubs both in
exchange of good practices, but also
supporting the mobility of artists,
trainers, workshops e.t.c.

ACTIONS
This month we started building our co
working space and we plan to invite the
collegues we met in Berlin over in
Thessaloniki, to provide us with their
feedback and suggestions on how we
can improve it and make it the best
possible experience for it's users.
Our space will also host coworking
spaces- ateliers for artists, i.e. painters,
sculptors e.t.c., which will give the
opportunity to the creatives to meet
with digital nomads and entrepreneurs
and we believe the mixing of these
different categories of individuals
