Intercultural communication

School is still one of the most powerful forces that may continue the
intercultural societies. It is clear that many lessons may be learned from formal
teachers experiences.
From this perspective, our objectives as teachers and guiders could be on the
one hand, determining the pupils to gain the capacity of being an intermediary
between their culture and the foreign culture and to handle eficiently
misunderstandings and cultural conflicts, and on the other hand making mentalities
to evolve towards a better perception and tolerance about those different than us.
The teacher ,considered as being the intermediary between the two cultures in
his intercultural approach, must have a pluricultural background or real experience
so that he/she can overcame the first stage, that of making the pupil understand the
multiculturality, to be able to solve complex problems or situations, to have a wide
vision, to keep up with new, unique situations and actions.
