Newtons first law:

1.Any object in a state of constant motion will also remain in that state of motion unless a
addtional force is applied.

II. Simple definition:


Acceleration is produced when a force acts on a mass. The greater the mass (of the object
being accelerated) the greater the amount of force needed (to accelerate the object). This can
be applied into this formula F=ma.

Say if this car ran into a bus, the car would be pushed back as the car has a smaller mass causing it
to be pushed backwards.
III. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

This means that for every force there is a reaction force that is equal in size, but opposite in
direction. That is to say that whenever an object pushes another object it gets pushed back in
the opposite direction equally hard.

As you can see in this diagram the force applied also kicks back as the cannon shot fires
meaning that if the cannon shot hit you you would also fly back.
