My School Years
There is so much to say about school, Im not really sure of where to start. As a child,
you spend a great deal of time in that big building, with people who do not belong to
your family, and you learn much more than just Maths or English Language.

School is the first place where you learn to socialize and its also the first place where
the rules are strict and you have to follow them by the letter in order to keep going.
School is, at the end, a scaled version of the world in which kids, as future adults, will
someday need to survive.

Many people have happy memories of their school days. They remember mostly their
friends, the playgrounds, the smell of home-cooked meal waiting for them at the end of
the day. But it is quite unusual to find someone who remembers as happy memories
those hours spent in the classroom.

I might be the only exception you meet in your whole life. As a child, I remember
distinctly how much I loved Maths lessons. I was totally overwhelmed by such a
perfect system, where nothing was ever out of place. Mathematics were just a miracle, a
world in which nothing could go wrong. And, if it did, it was up to me to solve it and
make it right.

Today I look back and I realize that this magic world of Maths could have never been
possible hadnt I have such a dedicated and loving teacher as Miss McLuhan. It was her
patience and her passion that helped me raise my own love for numbers.
