INT: COMPUTER SCREEN

On a computer screen, there are messages between Ava Gardner (17)
and Rhian Castelaw (17). Rhian is calling Ava ugly and a looser

Fade in
INT: BATHROOM DAY
Ava sits on a toilet seat with despair on her face, she is clutching
tightly a bottle of pills. As if she is debating whether to take
them or not.

AVA (VOICEOVER): I always wondered what it felt like to have

friends, to feel included. To feel like I was wanted. I always tried
so hard to fit in, but nothing would ever work. I guess I was just
destined to be lonely, why? Why me? Im I just an easy target for
bullies? High school is supposed to be a turning point, where you
find your true friends, right? So why didnt it work for me? I just
wish I was invisible, invisible to the bullies, invisible to
everyone. I wish I could just fade away.

AVA then proceeds to empty the bottle of pills in to heads and

forces them into her mouth.

FLASHBACK

INT CORRIDOR DAYTIME

AVA gets thrown against the wall

CUT TO
INT SCHOOL STAIRCASE
AVA hides underneath the staircase from bullies

CUT TO
INT SIXTH FORM COMMON ROOM
AVA is tripped over by bullies

CUT TO
INT TOILETS
AVA is seen breaking down and crying in front of the mirror

CUT TO
INT BOYS TOILET
AVA looks directly in to the camera, visibly shaken and terrified.
She squeezes her right hand with her left, she is sitting on the
toilet with both her legs on top of the toilet seen, to avoid being
seen. AVA is visibly distressed, her facial expression turn to fear
as the atmosphere changed when the toilet doors are slowly being

opened in silence. RHIAN opens the door, keeping it open and checks
around the room to see any sign of AVA hiding there.

RHIAN: Man, she isnt here, I told you she wouldnt come into the
boys toilet.

RHIAN exits the room, shutting the door behind him

AVA (VOICEOVER): It wasnt that bad in the beginning, just sniggers

and whispers whenever I walked by, but hey I thought sticks and
stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Oh how wrong
was I. Each word uttered feels like a bullet penetrating my chest.
Each blow harder than the last. Making me feel absolutely worthless.
I always told myself it will stop soon, but it never did. Now
theres no-one to pick up the broken pieces, no-one to tell me Im
going to be okay. No-one to save me, my only friend is the boys
toilet, the only place where they cant reach me.

AVA has no come off the toilet seat, she peers out of the door to
check whether the bullies have gone. Out of no-where Rhian appears
and slams her against the wall. As he raises his fist AVA closes her
eyes. As she slowly opens them she realizes that no-one is there and
that she imagined the whole encounter.

CUT TO
INT CURENT DAY BATHROOM
AVA is show swallowing the pills, she is shown to be crying as she
collapsing to the floor.

AVA(VOICEOVER): Ill finally get my wish. Im going to be invisible

CUT TO
INT HOSPITAL DAY

An ambulance is seen arriving to the hospital after AVAs suicide

attempt.
