The Roosevelt Program is designed to guide each Roosevelt Community Education Center
individual student to discover & pursue his or her full

Roosevelt highlights
Student Achievements:
-Jonathan Lane won 1st place at the RVC juried art show.
-Roosevelts robotics team placed 3rd overall in in the western
division.
-Our students reading scores, attendance, and number of
credits earned are all at a 5-year high.
Staff Achievements:
-Jen Macek is the Golden Apple Assistant Principal of the Year.
-Sarah Schaefer, science chair, is a Golden Apple Teacher of
Business Pathway Lead Teacher:

-Kourtni Gray, social studies chair, is a nominee for Those Who
Excel. Allen Noland
-Brian Hierstein and Kyle Wolfe, our fine arts and digital media
pathway lead teachers, won 2nd place in the Illinois Snow
Sculpting Competition.

5Essentials survey, the highest level of distinction. Research Academy Coach: Krystal Scroggins
shows that schools strong on the five essentials are ten times
more likely to improve student learning than schools weak on
the five essentials.
