YOUTH AND MORAL VALUES

ABSTRACT
What is wrong is wrong, even if everyone is doing it. Right is
right if no one else is doing it

- WILLIAM PENN

Across the history of modern civilization, peoples have gathered together in groups based
on common beliefs, desires and expectations. Social structure formed within these populations
gave rise to nation states providing a place of refuge to people with common expectation ,
tradition and value. Values represent out most fundamental beliefs. They are the principles we
use to define that which is right, good and just condition by representing the ought and should
of life. When one art in ways that are consistent with broad moral values we characterize that
as acting ethically. One can have professional ethics but very seldom do we refer to
professional morals. Finally character is demonstrated through actions taken that reflect values,
ethics and morals in which one believe. Character beings congruence between professed beliefs
and actual behavior by putting ethical principles into caution. The quality of character is
sometimes refused to as moral courage because it demonstrates who you are, even when no
one is looking.

KEYWORDS-
Demonstrated-to proof, Congruence-harmony, conformity, globalization-global network of political

Ideas, perspective-relationship on a flat surface.

INTRODUCTION
There is deep relationship between youth and moral values. If youth adopts all moral values
and operate their life according to this, then they will becomes more responsible for
performing their duty. Today youths are not responsible because they do not know their moral
values. They abuse their parents. They scold their elders. Even they do not feel shame to insult
others by commenting bad. If we deeply see than we can find that natural beauty is in moral
values. Many moral values are learnt from family. It is the duty of parents to teach moral values
to their children in beginning because one day, these children will become youth without moral
values, they will not become good citizen.

EXAMPLES OF YOUTHS MORAL VALUES

1. Suppose an old person wants to cross the road and a youth is very near to him. It is his moral duty
that he should help the poor person. Moral values make the youth angel.

2. You are youth and you see the person on the road after accident, a well educated youth can go by
leaving him on the road but a person with full of moral value will surely help that people. I saw the
picture of Aparichit, this is Hindi movie and in this many events are only teaching of moral values of
youth.

NEED OF MORAL VALUES

In our world of today we find signs of hope, but also challenges that are a serious threat to the future of
the whole humanity. The fall of ideologies, the growth of structures of democracy and freedom. The
extra ordinary scientific and technological progress, the process of globalization open before humanity
new perspectives. But at the same time throughout the world hatred, war and violence are spreading.
This crisis does not even spare the family which is the principal cell of society. As a result, a good
number of youth of today, who are now over 18% of worlds population ,are diving tin utter poverty,
with no work and without perspective for the future.

At the threshold of this new millennium a new start is needed, a new beginning. Among many young
people today there is a growing spirit of sharing, solidarity and fellowship. They have discovered that
these values bring a better and true sense of fulfillment and accomplishment than merely living for
oneself only to a end up selfish and alone.

DECLINE OF VALUES

Who are the icons of the youth today? They come either from the film world or they are Sports persons,
mainly cricketers. It is almost impossible for them to think of those who live in a different world
spending twenty rupees per day. Go back to 40s or 50s who were the icons of the youth? They were
men and women of character who sacrificed self interest and suffered for others, for the nation, for the
welfare of their fellow men and women. The level and extent to which the examples of real achievers
and heroes are presented to them in the idiom of the day can certainly help them to make the right
choice of their icons and hence, the path that they intend to follow in their life.

WHAT CAN BE DONE

If men make history, ideas make men. What is our objective with regard to the training of youth? Are we
to prepare them for line or for death? We look around and see what is taking place in academic centers,
how we are imposing on youth false ideas, how we are debasing the minds and corrupting the
hearts of the young, making them crazy with the lust of cruelty and power, do we not feel guilty of using
the noble instrument of education for ignoble ends.

We must develop the freshness of feeling for nature, the sensitiveness of soul to human need. We must
foster the freedom of the mind, the humanity of the heart, the integrity of the Individual. Even from
the nurseries, we must train human beings by unconscious influence and conscious effort to love, truth,
beauty and goodness. Over the year, we have provided best of the schools to a select few. We have
universities and colleges of which one could be proved.

Young persons emerging out of these changes brought glory and fame to India in different sectors in
the country and also outside the country. Any effort toward improving the efficacy of the system
preparing young persons must a fresh look on its basic promises and their relevance in the present
world.

RESULT
As we know moral values are must for youths in todays date. A morale person can only live his life in
better way and a moral person is also an asset for the nation and mankind. So give your children all
possible requirements for becoming a good person.
