AYP Graduation The percentage of students who graduated within four years of initial entry into ninth FDOE AYP Report August 2010
Rate grade. Graduates include students who received a standard diploma or a diploma earned
through a GED Exit Option program. These results are used in AYP calculations.
NGA Graduation The percentage of students who have graduated within four years of entering ninth FDOE High School December
Rate grade for the first time. Students who transfer out are removed from the group of Grade Simulation 2010
students tracked. Incoming transfer students are included in the class with which they
are scheduled to graduate. A graduate is a student who receives a standard or special
diploma, a diploma through the GED program, certificate recipients, and students who
return to school for an additional year. Dropouts are defined as non-graduates.
NGA At-Risk Uses the same method of calculation used for NGA graduation rate calculation. At-risk FDOE High School December
Graduation Rate subset of overall cohort includes only those students who registered FCAT-SSS Grade Simulation 2010
Achievement Levels 2 or below in both Reading and Mathematics in 8th Grade.
FLKRS ECHOS: The proportion of KG students performing at each skill level. FAIR-K: The FDOE FLKRS Completed
proportion of KG students who scored within each achievement tier. Provided only for Report
2010 because of the implementation of FAIR.
AP Enrollment AP Enrollment: The percentage of students enrolled in at least one Advanced Placement Research/Assessme December

Innovates A list of software types and a frequency table are presented. Schools provide the

Student Tool for The Student Tool for Technology Literacy (ST2L) is an interactive and performance Instructional Completed

Suspension Rate Suspensions were assigned based on the “Occur School” in Hyperion’s Discipline Research/Assessme Completed
(Internal, External, Event catalog. Rates were calculated by adding the unduplicated count of students nt (Data from

Truancy Rate This is a "habitual truancy" rate, which aligns with the definition of "habitual truant" as Research/Assessme August 2010
defined by Florida statute (F.S. 1003.01 (8)). This was calculated as the number of nt (Data from
students who registered 15 or more unexcused absences within either of the two DWH)
semesters, divided by the number of students enrolled at the school, for at least one
day, at any point during the same year. This is an unduplicated count of students.
Retention Rate To calculate a retention rate, each student’s grade level during the previous school year Research/Assessme September
