Position: Consultant, Energy


Location: Toronto, ON
Position Summary: As a Consultant you will work on teams with talented, supportive colleagues who
will help you learn and challenge you to grow. You will be responsible for specific components of a
project, such as analysing a clients or markets performance or conducting primary and secondary
research, as well as for translating your research and analysis into client presentations and reports.
Consultants in the Energy group work with clients involved in a wide range of energy-related activities,
including electricity and natural gas generation, transmission, and distribution; energy efficiency and
demand side management; energy storage; and renewable energy.

As an Energy Consultant you may be responsible for the following:


Conducting detailed fact finding and primary and secondary research, including web-based research,
interviews, and field measurements;
Assessing technologies and analyzing technology and market trends
Performing technical, statistical, and economic analysis, data collection, and performance modeling
Interviewing business managers, technology experts and public policy officials to support client
projects
Developing technology and operational strategies for utilities, government, and energy companies;
and
Communicating solutions and new strategies to clients through reports and presentations.
Supporting the design and implementation of technology management processes (including portfolio
management, technology sourcing, and R&D management)

Job Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Graduating with an undergraduate degree with an emphasis on analysis, logical reasoning, or problem
solving (e.g., engineering, economics, mathematics, commerce, physical sciences, etc.) between
December 2017 and June 2018;
Strong interest and/or experience in the Energy industry
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Superior interpersonal skills;
High degree of self-confidence and determination;
Demonstrated proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and slide presentation
software; and
Ability to travel and work overtime hours as needed.
