Topics: The Boat Trip: Introducing the word Oar / Making suggestions
St.t will greet Ss then he will introduce himself to them and explain for how long he will teach
them. She will write the date on the board and finally he will explain to Ss the class rules.
S.T will deliver a picture to each row, students will have to pass the picture among them
meanwhile the S.T will ask the students to look at the photos picture encouraging students to
talk about their boating/canoeing experiences asking some questions such as Have you ever
been boating/canoeing? Where? Next, he will stick the pictures on the board in order to
introduce the word OAR After this, he will encourage some students to write sentences using
on the board using the word OAR
St.t will tel1 students to open their SB on page 54 and he will ask students to look at the picture
encouraging students to answer some oral questions such as Whats the boy doing? Where are
they? Are they friends? Then, students will be given some minutes to read through the questions
in ex. 2 then he will play the recording twice if necessary giving then some minutes for students
to answers the questions. He will check the exercise using the hot ball technique: he will give
some students a ball and he will play some music backwards to students and stop it suddenly,
the one who keeps the ball will have to write his/her answers on the board, he will repeat the
same procedure until all the exercise is checked.
St.t will write and explain on the board the agreeing or disagreeing with suggestions: Thats a
good idea / All right / Im not sure / I dont think thats a good idea / No way! also pointing out
the use of ing after the phrase What about ? checking that students understand that Lets is
the short form of Let us in the dialogue. After this, students will re-read the dialogue again in
order to underline the agreeing or disagreeing with suggestions.
The S.T will ask the students to open their work book on page 53 in order to complete:
Ex. 4 Put the words in the correct order to make sentences. Add the correct punctuation.
Ex. 5 Match the suggestions (1-6) in Exercise 4 to the situations (a- f).
The S.T will give each students a number then he will pick a number from a bag and the chosen
one will say the answer in order to check the activities.
